Clermont Meet Recap:

Way to crush the first day of the first meet
Man, the kids looked sharp out there instead of rusty! After not doing LC for a year and against kids that train it year-round, we looked good!!!
Lots of smiles, cheering, team support and camaraderie, which was awesome! I think everyone felt the warrior spirit and zero DQs!
Like Robin said, congrats, Elora Tripp, Colton Walsh, and Connor Cummings, for getting their FLAGs today!
Also S/O to Mila Adriani for getting senior champs cut in the 200 IM and FLAGS in the 100 back.

Ashlyn Burton got FLAGS in 50 free, 100 back, and 200 free.

REMIND THE KIDS!
Dropping time in the first meet is always a huge deal, and it becomes a bigger deal the older you get. Kids think that since it was almost a year ago that they “should be dropping time” because that time is “old,” but they often misread the writing on the wall……. The reality of the situation is that these kids are improving their times in the roughest part of their seasons, when their times were at the peak of their season. Last meet of the year, rested, tapered, shaved, suited, energetic….. It is hard to beat a peak time from a championship meet from peak form when you just start out a season. So, WELL DONE!
Record Breakers:
- Mila: Smashed both 100 & 200 back records + 100 fly record
- Payton: New records in 100 fly and also smashing 400 Free!
- Tyler K: 200 Free record
-Aria Wright broke the 7-8 girls 50 free record
